Annual United Way campaign underway
Members of the Salve Regina community have always been generous in contributing their time and talents to those in need. In this time of giving, the University has embarked on its annual United Way campaign.
“Regional Catholic colleges and universities have a longstanding tradition of supporting the United Way through employee giving campaigns,” said President Kelli J. Armstrong. “As an umbrella organization, contributions to the United Way help support multiple agencies and programs in our hometown communities, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County, Clean Ocean Access, the Salvation Army and Salve Regina. It does not surprise me that our community members are active in supporting this effort in addition to so many others.”
Gifts may be designated by choosing specific United Way impact funds and/or focus areas. Donors can also search or use the write-in area to designate your pledges (or a portion) to a specific agency. Undesignated gifts will go to the United Way Community Impact Fund.
To participate, visit uwriweb.org/salveregina, enter your email address and press “Tab.” If the system recognizes your email address, you will receive a confirmation email to continue with the pledge process. Otherwise, after pressing “Tab,” fill in the information requested and select “Register.”
The electronic pledge process is easy and all information is secure. When pledging, simply read the screens and press “Next” to go to the subsequent screen. If there are additional messages after you fill in a field, the screen will come back with the message. Just press “Next” again to advance to the next screen. Once you submit your pledge, you will get an email confirming your gift and designations.
