Angel Trees benefit local programs in need
The Angel Trees, from which people pick a tag and purchase an item that supports local individuals, shelter animals or after-school programs, have once again appeared throughout campus. All members of the Salve Regina community are invited to participate in the Angel Tree program.
Angel Trees are located in Gerety Hall, McAuley Hall, McKillop Library, Mercy Center for Spiritual Life, Miley Hall, O’Hare Academic Building, Rodgers Recreation Center, Young Building and the Center for Adult Education in Warwick.
This year’s Angel Tree program will support Child & Family, Donovan Manor, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, Newport County YMCA, Potter League for Animals, Salvation Army and the Tashirat Orphanage in Mexico.
Donors are asked to choose a tag from the tree, purchase a gift and return it unwrapped to the Center for Community Engagement and Service in Gerety Hall, Room 201 before noon Monday, Dec. 16. Please make sure to attach the label to the gift.
This is the 16th year that Salve Regina is participating in the Angel Tree program. For more information, contact the Center for Community Engagement and Service at (401) 341-2440 or community.services@salve.edu.
