Annual choreography showcase explores deeply personal themes
Salve Regina’s dance minors will present new works in the annual Student Choreography Showcase, “Onward and Upward,” directed by associate professor Lindsay Guarino. Each student choreographer explores themes that are deeply personal, dealing with internal strength, beauty, resilience, overcoming obstacles and resisting opposition.
With nearly 40 students involved in the production, the showcase highlights the wealth of talent and the vibrancy of the dance program at Salve Regina. Due to the large number of student choreographers, the weekend’s performances will be divided into two different programs.
Choreographers presenting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26 and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28 include Haley Andrews ’18, Tessa Kolaczenko ’18, Nicole Landry ’18, Marissa Masson ’19, Emily Nicastro ’19, Samantha Parks ’19, Hayley Robichaud ’18, Vanessa Scott ’19, Athena Silva ’19, Maddie Stewart ’19 and Lauren Wyble ’18.
