Army ROTC sponsoring information table, iPad mini raffle
Members of Salve Regina’s Army ROTC program will hold a raffle for an iPad mini during the men’s and women’s home basketball games against Roger Williams University Saturday, Feb. 16. Cadets and members of the Army ROTC staff will also be on hand throughout the games to answer questions about the ROTC program.
The women’s game is at 1 p.m. Saturday, while the men play at 3 p.m.
Army ROTC provides college students with the skills and leadership training necessary to become officers in the U.S. Active Army, Army Reserve and National Guard. The program emphasizes academic excellence, physical training and written and oral communication, as well as ethics to develop all facets of an individual.
Upon graduation from a four-year college and successful completion of ROTC, cadets receive commission as second lieutenants in one of the Army’s specialized branches.
Tickets for the iPad mini raffle are $5 each and may be purchased at the ROTC table on game day or from any cadet prior to game day. The drawing will be held during halftime of the men’s game and proceeds will benefit the ROTC cadet fund.
