Brocks, Masse tabbed to lead men’s tennis
Men’s tennis head coach Peter Torgrimson has announced a pair of seniors as his captains for the 2017-2018 squad. Four-year players Kevin Brocks and Will Masse will repeat the roles they held as juniors.
“Brocks has been a valued member of the team who clearly enjoys the bond he has with his teammates,” Torgrimson said. “He has been instrumental in bringing the team together in order to create the chemistry needed to foster a positive learning environment. He has helped tremendously on the team’s organizational front, and Kevin’s attention to detail has been much appreciated and noticed by all.”
“Masse has been a guy who others look up to because of the way that he competes on the court and the confidence he carries with himself,” Torgrimson added. “Although winning is not the most important thing, the grit that Will shows when the going gets tough on the court inspires and motivates his teammates to give their best and to always fight hard until the last point. He has worked hard to temper his emotions on the court in order to give himself and his team the best chance to beat the odds. It has been a wonderful experience to witness his passion to compete and his personal growth as captain and team leader.”
