Campus Activities Board hosting Veterans Day events
All members of the University community are invited to participate as the Campus Activities Board hosts a Veterans Day march, dinner and speaker on Friday, Nov. 11.
Let by ROTC cadets from the Cramer’s Sabers battalion, which includes Salve Regina students, the march will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the McAuley Hall lawn and proceed to the Rodgers Recreation Center. Following the march, an American-themed dinner will be served in the Miley cafeteria at 6 p.m.
The evening will conclude at 7 p.m. in the Rodgers Recreation Center with a presentation by Brent Gleeson, a Navy SEAL combat veteran with multiple tours to Iraq and Africa. After leaving SEAL Team 5, Gleeson turned to the world of business and has become an accomplished entrepreneur, writer and acclaimed speaker on topics ranging from leadership to building high performance teams.
“We hope you will take part in our event by giving thanks to all those who have served to protect our freedom,” said Lauren Healy ’18, associate director of the Campus Activities Board’s spotlight committee.
