Four Salve Regina students earn All-CCC nods for softball

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) recently announced its 2021 Softball All-Conference Teams and major award winners. Salve Regina had four players make the teams, including three on the All-CCC Second Team and one on the All-CCC Third Team.

The three Salve Regina students who made it to the All-CCC Second Team were Maddy Fluke ’22, Nikki Vanelli ’22 and Jessica Roberts ’24. Fluke was one of three pitchers named to the All-CCC Second Team, Vanelli was the selection at second base and Roberts was the Second Team designated player. The All-CCC Third Team had Maddie Capetta ’24 up the middle of the field playing second and shortstop.

Voting for the All-CCC teams and each of the major awards was conducted by the conference’s 10 softball head coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.
