“Capture It” study abroad contest accepting submissions
Students who studied abroad during the fall 2012 semester, winter break 2013, the spring 2013 semester or summer 2013 are invited to submit photos, essays and other formats from their experiences to the “Capture It” study abroad contest.
Submissions will be accepted in three categories: Photo, Essay and Other. For the photo category, students should submit an original photo taken while abroad. For the essay category, students should submit a 300- to 500-word essay about something that happened or inspired them while abroad.
For the third category (other), students can submit entries in a variety of formats, including blogs, drawings, photo essays, short videos, collages, sculptures and poems.
Submissions will be displayed in the McKillop Library during International Education Week, scheduled for Nov. 11-15. One winner will be selected for each category and will be awarded a $50 Amazon gift card. Winners will be announced by Monday, Nov. 18.
Contest rules:
- Students may submit one entry per category.
- Students may enter all three categories, but should use a separate form for each category.
- Students may be selected to win more than one category.
