Carbone presenting “Mindfulness and Meditation” workshop
Christopher Carbone, coordinator of the expressive and creative arts program at Salve Regina, will present a “Mindfulness and Meditation” workshop for faculty and staff from 12:15-1 p.m. Friday, May 8. Sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, the workshop will be held in the McKillop Library special collections room.
Employees are invited to experience basic techniques and ways of being that can help them unwind and release stress naturally. Discover ways to explore your breath, your inner-awareness and other centering practices that can help you find clarity, lift your spirits, boost your immune system and improve your overall health and well being.
The workshop will help participants learn how to successfully and simply integrate these mindfulness-based practices into their everyday lives in a revitalizing and enjoyable way. This is an introductory-level workshop appropriate for all levels of experience.
Light refreshments will be served.
