Career Week will offer students programming around landing a job post-college
From Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 21, the Office of Career Development will be offering its annual Career Week. Career Week is a line up of both virtual and in person events to give undergraduate students advice on landing a career after college. Events will include topics like career paths, interviewing skills, LinkedIn pages and more.
These events are open to all undergraduate students, and anyone can register for individual events through Handshake.
Resume and Cover Letter Workshop
Monday, Oct. 17, Noon
Online Event
Join Susan Padula, student employment specialist at the Office of Career Development for an online workshop in resume and cover letter skills. The event will walk students through the basic structure and content of these application documents, provide resources and examples to help students get started, and answer any questions.
Psychology Career Connections Night
Tuesday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m.
O’Hare Academic Building
This event is a partnership between the Office of Career Development, the Psychology Department, and the Psychology Club. Students are invited to come for a panel and networking event with Salve Regina’s psychology alumni to discuss potential career paths in psychology.
Personal Statement Advice

Join Caitlin Bailey, associate director of the Office of Career Development, for a workshop on graduate school personal statements. Student will gain tips on how to stand out from the crowd by showcasing who they are and what they can bring to the graduate or professional program of their choice.
Environmental Career Connections Night

Online Event
The Environmental Studies Career Connections Night program is a collaborative effort between the Department of Environmental Studies and the Office of Career Development. Through panel discussions and networking conversations, students will hear career advice and professional insights from industry professionals and Salve Regina CEGs graduates, who will share their perspectives on the different career paths environmental studies/science majors may pursue after graduating from Salve Regina and the steps they took to get where they are today.
LinkedIn Workshop

Online Event
Dominique Gagnier, assistant director of the Office of Career Development, will lead a workshop designed to teach students how to optimize their LinkedIn profile, as well as how to utilize LinkedIn as a job search and networking tool.
