Community service opportunities: December
The Office of Community Service has several service opportunities available during the month of December. To register for one of the service opportunities listed below, or to view all service opportunities, visit the Community Service website.

Through Friday, Dec. 9: Salvation Army
Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to ring the Salvation Army bells at the Stop & Shop on Bellevue Avenue. Volunteers may sign up for two-hour shifts: 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 2 p.m., 2-4 p.m., 4-6 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. This site is located on the trolley line.
Tuesday, Dec. 6: Emmanuel Church
Volunteers are needed from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to set up, work and clean up the soup kitchen. This site is located on the trolley line.
Tuesday, Dec. 13: St. Paul’s Church
Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to tie fleece blankets for St. Paul’s Church’s Warm Up Wednesday program. This volunteer opportunity will be held in the Office of Community Service, located in Wakehurst, Room 201. Volunteers may sign up for two- or three-hour shifts: 9-11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. Transportation is not available for this on-campus event.
Tuesday, Dec. 13 through Friday, Dec. 16: Salvation Army
Volunteers are needed to help organize and pack holiday gifts at the Salvation Army on Memorial Boulevard. Volunteers can choose from two shifts: 9-11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This site is located on the trolley line.
