Cruver named pitcher of the week

Salve Regina’s softball team won three of its final four games in Florida to pull even at 5-5 on the season before resuming its season in New England. Jen Cruver ’13 has started all 10 games and earned Commonwealth Coast Conference pitcher of the week honors.

Cruver was a force on the mound, tossing five complete games and posting a 4-2 record for the Seahawks on the week. She posted a 1.86 ERA, while striking out 25 batters and giving up just nine walks in 37.2 innings of work.

The Seahawks square off in a doubleheader at Rhode Island College on Tuesday, March 19.
