Deadline to apply for study abroad in Austria extended
Austria is often noted for the significant contributions of its resident composers – Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven – to the legacy of classical music. Salve Regina students have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the masters during a short-term study abroad program in Austria, scheduled for March 12-21, 2020.
The Austria program will allow students to immerse themselves in the cultural and historical context of these composers, touring the churches and public buildings they visited, the houses in which they lodged and the palaces, concert halls and salons in which they performed.
Students will take in the sights and sounds of Vienna and Salzburg, the leading intellectual and artistic crossroads of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries, and will experience firsthand the artistic lure that inspired some of the world’s greatest and most enduring music.
The application deadline has been extended to Monday, Dec. 16. To learn more about the Austria program, or to apply online, visit the study abroad website.
Students who are interested in study abroad programs in general are invited to attend a 4 p.m. information session in Drexel Hall any Monday through Thursday when classes are in session. For more information, email the Office of International Programs at studyabroad@salve.edu.
