Department of Art sponsoring trip to Yale University
The Department of Art will sponsor a motor coach trip to Yale University in New Haven, Conn., on Sunday, Nov. 16. The trip will feature self-guided tours of the Yale University Art Gallery and the Center for British Art, two world-class museums that sit adjacent to each other on Yale’s campus.
Also included is a guided tour of the Center for Conservation and Preservation conducted by Theresa Fairbanks Harris, senior paper conservator of the Yale museums and a Salve Regina parent. Participants may also enjoy exploring the campus or the nearby neighborhood where shops and cafes abound.
The trip is free for Salve Regina students and faculty, and a box lunch will be provided to all participants. The bus will depart from the Rodgers Recreation Center at 8:45 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m.
A limited number of seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are required. Students must submit a $20 deposit, which will be refunded when they board the bus on Nov. 16.
To reserve a seat, contact Gianna Sullivan at (401) 341-2208 or gianna.sullivan@salve.edu.
