Faculty, staff invited to diversity workshops

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in two half-day diversity workshops sponsored by the Rhode Island Higher Education Training Consortium.

“Diversity and Inclusion Fundamentals” will be held Thursday, Oct. 2 at Providence College. The first session, “But I’m Not Prejudiced,” runs from 9 a.m. to noon, while the second session, “Moving from Political Correctness to Purposeful Communication,” runs from 1-4 p.m.

During these highly interactive workshops, participants will explore their backgrounds, beliefs and experiences around diversity, hear others’ perspectives and discuss strategies for creating and sustaining an inclusive, equitable and productive workplace and campus community.
