“To be recognized for the ninth year in a row for the team academic award is a great accomplishment for our program,” said head coach Jennifer Foster. “To have more than half of our team individually recognized is another wonderful achievement. Our players excel at balancing the academic and athletic demands at Salve Regina. The 15 individual players recognized are strong examples that you can be successful on the field and in the classroom.”
To be eligible for individual honors, student-athletes are required to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. To be recognized for the team award, field hockey clubs must compile a combined GPA of at least 3.00 or better during the first semester of the 2015-2016 academic year.
