Final home football game features opportunities to give back
Members of the University community will have several opportunities to give back when the football team plays its final regular-season home game Saturday, Nov. 11, hosting Curry College at noon at Toppa Field.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will collect donations of canned goods for its annual food drive.
In addition, Salve Regina’s chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society will collect donations for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The group is seeking toiletries, feminine products, paper towels, toilet paper, rags, bathing towels and cleaning supplies. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Supplies will be sent to a local Coast Guard member, who will bring them directly to affected Texas residents.
In honor of military appreciation day, the Cramer’s Sabers ROTC battalion will present the color guard for Saturday’s game. The battalion includes cadets from Salve Regina as well as Roger Williams University and the University of Rhode Island.
