Four Seahawks earn conference honors
Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference:
Cross country: Sean Hughes ’16
Hughes led the Seahawks with a top 10 individual finish at the Mayflower Kickoff at New England College. He finished in 17:09 and was the top Commonwealth Coast Conference runner in the meet.
Cross country: Amy Irving ’17
Irving was named runner of the week after leading the Seahawks to victory in the Mayflower Kickoff at New England College. She claimed the individual title for the second consecutive year, winning the 5K road and trail race in 20:00.
Field hockey: Abigail Tepper ’16
Tepper was named offensive player of the week after scoring four goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. She blasted home a pair of goals and added an assist in both victories, as Salve Regina topped Johnson & Wales University 6-0 and Wheaton College 8-2.
Cross country: Olivia Wilson ’18
Wilson was named rookie of the week after helping the Seahawks to a season-opening victory in the Mayflower Kickoff at New England College. She ran as the No. 4 runner for Salve Regina, posting a top 10 finish and completing the 5K race in 20:40.
