Four Seahawks earn conference honors
Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference and the New England Football Conference:
Women’s cross country: Shannon Holden ’16
Holden was named runner of the week after earning second place in a 101-person field at the Tri-State Invitational. She traversed the 5K trail in 20:01.29, leading all Seahawk runners and helping Salve Regina earn a second-place finish out of 10 teams.
Football: Sam Pascale ’17
Pascale was named offensive player of the week after posting his third consecutive 200-yard rushing game in the Seahawks’ 31-13 win over Curry College. The conference’s leading rusher, he ran for 204 yards and two touchdowns with a long carry of 60 yards and a 6.8 average.
Field hockey: Jessie Severino ’18
Severino was named defensive player of the week after collecting five saves with a 0.59 GAA in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. In an 11-0 victory over Nichols College, she made two saves in 50 minutes of play. In a 6-1 triumph over Roger Williams University, Severino tallied three saves.
Field hockey: Abigail Tepper ’16
Tepper was named offensive player of the week after scoring four goals in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. She scored two goals in an 11-0 win over Nichols, and another two goals in a 6-1 victory over Roger Williams.
