Four Seahawks earn conference honors
Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received all-conference honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference:
Men’s cross country: Jay Brennan ’17
Team captain Brennan shared the scholar-athlete award for men’s cross country with Greg Whitney from Eastern Nazarene College. Brennan, a nursing major, tied for the academic honors in balloting among the conference’s coaches.
Men’s soccer: Matthew O’Donnell ’19 and Jared Warren ’18
O’Donnell and Warren were named to the second team for men’s soccer. O’Donnell tied for second in scoring for Salve Regina with seven points on two goals and three assists. Warren led the Seahawks in scoring with nine goals and one assist (19 points) while producing two game-winning goals.
Women’s cross country: Victoria Varone ’17
Varone was named to the all-conference team after leading Salve Regina to a second-place finish in the conference championship. She placed sixth in the field of 107 runners to lead the scoring for the Seahawks, finishing the 6K course in 23:40.
