Four Seahawks named to all-conference team
Four members of the women’s lacrosse team – Mary-Ashley Donelan ’15, Kaitlin Gillespie ’17, Katie Jones ’16 and Jacqueline Pilatti ’17 – have been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference all-conference team.
Donelan garnered third team honors as a defenseman. She caused 18 turnovers and collected 30 groundballs.
Gillespie had a breakout second season in 2015, earning her a spot on the third team. She scored 26 goals, notched five assists, picked up 17 ground balls and caused seven turnovers.
Jones saw the most action of her career in 2015, earning her first career win and posting an overall record of 5-4 to earn third team honors as a goalkeeper. She made 120 saves on the season with a goals-against average of 11.57.
Pilatti, a defenseman, took home second team honors. She collected 23 groundballs while forcing 15 turnovers and winning 17 draws. Pilatti also chipped in a goal and an assist in 2015.
The Seahawks finished the 2015 season with a 7-9 overall record (3-5 in the conference), qualifying for the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
