Fun Fridays: Online stressbuster with Sasha the therapy dog
Every semester, students at Salve Regina always love to hang out with the University’s beloved therapy dog Sasha. And while you’re at home studying and learning during Virtual Salve, you can still hang out with Sasha virtually! Every Friday from 12-1 p.m. EST via a Zoom meeting, Sasha will be available online to hang out with students.
Check out the details on the Zoom meeting in the graphic below.
Anyone can hop in and hang out with their favorite therapy animal for whatever amount of time they have available in their schedule on Fridays. These hangouts are hosted by Sasha’s owner Robin Hoffmann, professor of administration of justice at Salve Regina.
Sasha is a 12-year-old miniature apricot poodle who has been coming to Salve Regina’s campus for animal therapy visits with Salve Regina students for about 8 years. He’s a registered therapy dog, and he’s very calm and comfortable around any situation. Hoffman loves doing various kinds of activities with him and students while on campus at Salve Regina, and the hope is that even remotely, you can still enjoy time with Sasha.
Sasha is also online on Instagram, where you can check out her adventures during remote learning every day!
Each Friday, SALVEtoday will provide fun ideas and experiences to encourage and uplift the University community during this time of remote living and learning. #salvesgotthis #funfridays
