Government Career Fair featuring nearly 40 employers
Nearly 40 federal, state and local agencies will be on hand to share job and internship opportunities during the fifth annual Government Career Fair at the University of Rhode Island’s Ryan Center. Open to all Salve Regina undergraduates, graduate students and alumni, the career fair will be held from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.
A free networking event co-sponsored by the Office of Career Development, the career fair will feature agencies ranging from the Internal Revenue Service to the Peace Corps to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Representatives from each agency will share information about the positions and projects typically available in their areas.

There are a wide range of job and internship options available within the government sector, and it is important for students to plan ahead so they can connect with the agencies that interest them most. The hiring process for government positions often takes time, so employers know that smart students start early.
Salve Regina students interested in attending the career fair are strongly encouraged to register through the Salve Regina Gateway. Students should bring plenty of resumes and dress appropriately to meet with agency representatives. Parking will be available in front of the Ryan Center.
