Harden named player of the week
Guard Meaghan Harden ’16 has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference player of the week for women’s basketball.
Harden helped lead the Seahawks to a 2-0 week in conference action. She shot an impressive 69 percent (9-of-13) from the field in a big 69-57 win over Roger Williams University, recording 25 points and four rebounds. Earlier in the week, Harden netted 13 points, gathered seven rebounds, dished two assists and earned one block in a 49-34 win over Western New England University.
Harden has six games with 25 or more points this season. With its four-game win streak, Salve Regina (9-8; 7-3 CCC) has moved over .500 for the first time in the 2013-2014 season.
The Seahawks host Wentworth Institute of Technology at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
