Harden selected to d3hoops.com all-region team
Guard Meaghan Harden ’16, the school’s all-time leading scorer in basketball with 1,945 points, has earned a selection to the d3hoops.com all-region team.
Harden’s four years on the hardwood for the Seahawks includes a trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship game in 2013, the single-game record for points (45 against Regis College in November 2014) and the all-time scoring mark in school history.
In 2015-2016, Harden led the Seahawks in scoring for the fourth straight season (17.1 points per game) and picked up the bulk of the rebounding chores as well, leading the team with 7.2 boards per game.
“Meg has been a hard worker from day one,” said head coach Cori Hughes. “Certainly talented, but she has worked hard to become a better player every day. We’re going to miss her production on the basketball court, but we’ll miss her as a person even more.”
Harden will represent Salve Regina in the New England Women’s Basketball Association senior all-star classic hosted by Western New England University on Saturday, March 19.
