HR sponsoring Veggie Box delivery program

The Office of Human Resources is seeking faculty and staff who are interested in joining the Veggie Box delivery program sponsored by Farm Fresh Rhode Island.

Veggie Box is a weekly subscription to fresh, local produce from more than two dozen family farms and orchards in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Boxes are available in two-month session blocks from July through February.

Provided a minimum of 10 participants register for the Veggie Box program by Monday, July 15, each participant will receive a total of three boxes during the July-August session. Boxes cost $25 each, and participants will be billed for the full amount of the session ($75), plus a one-time, annual registration fee of $6.

Boxes will be delivered in the afternoon on July 25, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22. Each box contains eight to 10 items and weighs about 10-15 pounds. Boxes are pre-packed, but the contents will change each week as the seasons change.
