Invitation to attend online Earth Week prayer service

As Salve Regina celebrates Earth Week, the Mercy Center for Spiritual Life invites our community to join together to celebrate the beauty and wonder of God’s creation as a University community and to pray for wholeness and healing in our local and global communities and the earth.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to participate in this Earth Week prayer service through WebEx on Thursday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m.

Now more than ever before is the time to seek Mercy for the earth and to advance work on the Critical Concerns that the University is committed to pursuing. Even though our community is remote, everyone can join together to support care for our common home.

As part of the service, the Mercy Center team is inviting members of the Salve Regina community to share a prayer, reflection or poem appropriate to Earth Week during the community prayer event. If anyone wishes to share, they can come prepared to share, but please make sure the contribution can be shared within one minute or less in order to ensure timeliness of the communal celebration.
