Invitation to workshop on federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
Salve Regina community members are invited to attend a virtual workshop on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF), which is taking place on Monday, March 14, at 6 p.m. Those interested in registering for the event can do so here.
This workshop — co-hosted by Senator Jack Reed, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and the Rhode Island Student Loan Authority — will run through updates to the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and address questions that Rhode Islanders may have surrounding the program.
If anyone is employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government, as well as a nonprofit organization, they might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This may include certain employees at Salve Regina.
Registration for the event is required. Those who register will also receive the presentation following the event, as well as follow up information that can direct Rhode Islanders to helpful resources through the Department of Education.
Those interested in registering for the event on Monday, March 14, at 6 p.m. can do so here.
Please feel free to contact Erin Arcand, community affairs coordinator for Senator Jack Reed, at erin_arcand@reed.senate.gov if anyone has specific questions about this event.
