Jones, Malconian named to all-conference team
Jennifer Jones ’13 and Danielle Malconian ’13 were named to the 2103 all-Commonwealth Coast Conference team for women’s lacrosse. Jones and Malconian each earned a spot on the honorable mention team to represent Salve Regina.
Jones finished her career as the team’s leading scorer this season with 58 points on 45 goals and 13 assists. She was third on the team with 28 draw controls and was 10-for-24 on free position shots after starting 13 games for Salve Regina. In the final game of the season, Jones set the school record for both points (11) and goals (8) in a game against Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Malconian started all 14 games on defense this season as she finished second on the team in ground balls (29) and fourth in caused turnovers (9). She leaves Salve Regina as the school’s leader in both ground balls (195) and caused turnovers (84). Malconian helped out on the offensive side of the field as well, netting three goals this season while handing out two assists.
