Kelly Scafariello named associate director of athletics
Kelly Scafariello has been named associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator at Salve Regina. She brings to the University a wealth of knowledge and experience from both the Division I and Division III levels.
Scafariello was most recently employed at Northeastern University, where she was promoted just four months after her arrival. Over her three-plus years at the university, she rose from assistant director of athletic compliance and student-athlete welfare to assistant athletic director of compliance and enrollment services.
At Northeastern, Scafariello helped to manage 18 NCAA varsity programs, while also creating, implementing and monitoring a comprehensive NCAA compliance program for a department of more than 100 staff members. Prior to joining Northeastern, she was employed at Pine Manor College, the University of Central Florida and Brown University.
Scafariello holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Regis University. She is working on her master’s degree in education with a concentration in higher administration from Northeastern University.
