Men’s lacrosse wins ECAC championship
Curtis McKeon ’14 scored five goals and earned Most Outstanding Player honors as the Seahawks captured the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England men’s lacrosse championship May 9 with a 15-10 victory over Becker College.

The top-seeded Seahawks, who scored a season-high 21 goals in their semifinal victory over Mitchell College, outscored the Hawks in three of the four quarters.
In addition to McKeon, Chad Hollenshade ’14, Sharp Jones ’16, Alex King ’16, Nick LoCicero ’17 and Dan Parks ’14 scored for the Seahawks. James Fee ’16, Alex Hennessy ’15, Hollenshade, Jones and LoCicero were credited with assists.
Both starting goalies finished with double-figure save totals – 20 for Becker’s Jeffrey Candee and 10 for Salve Regina’s Andrew Watkins ’17.
Both programs established single-season highs with 15 wins apiece. The Seahawks, making their first-ever appearance in the ECAC championships, took the title with their fifth win in the last six games and ninth game scoring 15 or more goals in 2014.
