Mercy Mondays: Celebrate Salve Regina’s 75th anniversary with community service, blood drive opportunities
In honor of Salve Regina’s 75th anniversary, the Center for Community Engagement and Service will host the Confetti Foundation and the Rhode Island Blood Mobile this Friday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Ochre Court.
Students, faculty and staff will join together in a community service project to benefit the Confetti Foundation, an organization whose mission is to ensure that children who must spend their birthday in a hospital, pediatric oncology clinic or hospice facility are able to enjoy a birthday party with all the trimmings. Volunteers can sign up in 1 hour time shifts between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be creating birthday banners for the organization. Click here to register.
Students, faculty and staff are also encouraged to participate in the Rhode Island Blood Drive as part of celebration. Together as a community, the goal is for at least 75 participants to donate blood in honor of Salve Regina’s 75th anniversary. Want to donate blood? Click here to register, and use sponsor code 0199.
