Nick LoCicero named to academic all-New England team
Nick LoCicero ’17 has been named to the 2017 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s academic all-New England team. Members of the team are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and III and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field.
The criteria required that nominees must have senior standing, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be a significant enough player that he was nominated for at least all-conference selection.
LoCicero majored in business administration and marketing and carried a 3.26 GPA. As a freshman, he helped the 2014 team win the Eastern College Athletic Conference championship. LoCicero has since been a three-year captain of the team. A four-year Student-Athlete Advisory Committee member, he served as vice president during his junior year and president during his senior year.
LoCicero finished his Salve Regina career with 89 goals and 181 assists. He ranks ninth in program history for goals scored and has the top career marks for assists and total points. LoCicero also holds the single season records for points (80) and assists (63). He led the Seahawks in scoring in 2017 with 26 goals and 36 assists for 62 points, earning him a second-team all-conference nod.
