Office sponsoring alumni basketball, ice hockey events

The Office of Alumni/Parent Programs is inviting alumni who played men’s basketball, women’s basketball and women’s ice hockey to reunite with their former teammates next weekend.

Hoopsfest

The alumni game for both men and women will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Alumni are invited to stay for the men’s and women’s games against the University of New England, which will be held at 1 and 3 p.m.

Alumni will gather at O’Brien’s Pub at 7:30 p.m. for reminiscing and a night out in Newport. Complimentary appetizers will be served; cash bar. For more information, contact the alumni office at (401) 341-2627 or alumni@salve.edu.

Women’s Ice Hockey

The alumni game will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the back rink at Saint George’s School, with a reception at 7 p.m. in the back lobby entrance. Alumni are invited to stay for the women’s game against University of Massachusetts Boston at 8 p.m.
