Ring in the holiday season with concerts by Salve Regina’s music program

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and to help people ring in the holiday season, the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will present four holiday concerts featuring performances from the University’s musical ensembles. The Newport Community Symphonic Band and the Newport County Orchestra will also perform.

Admission to any of the four concerts is $10 for the general public and $8 for students and senior citizens. It’s free for Salve Regina students with a valid University ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance, and they will also be available at the door.

The Newport County Orchestra at Salve Regina
Friday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.
Casino Theater

Classical and holiday favorites will be played by the Newport County Orchestra. 

Holiday Band Concert
Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m.
Casino Theatre

Directed by Peter Davis, the holiday band concert will feature the Newport Community Symphonic Band, jazz combo and jazz ensemble.

Holiday Choral Concerts
Friday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m.
Ochre Court

The Holiday Choral Concerts will feature the University Chorus, Madrigals, a cappella groups and soloists.
