Room selection process kicks off with info sessions, off-campus fair
With the annual room selection process for current sophomores and juniors beginning in February, now is the time to be looking ahead to the 2016-2017 academic year.
Information sessions on the junior/senior room selection process will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 and Wednesday, Dec. 2 in the O’Hare Academic Center, Room 260.
In addition, an Off-Campus Living Fair will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 in Ochre Court. Students who have already signed leases or who are interested in living off campus, as well as those who are undecided and want to review their options, are encouraged to attend. Health Services and the offices of Career Development, Dean of Students, Financial Aid and Safety and Security will be in attendance. The fair will also feature several local realtors and a variety of services such as banking, transportation, laundry services and the post office.
Although juniors and seniors are not required to live on campus, it is an option for those who are fully committed to the on-campus living experience. While housing is not guaranteed, the Office of Residence Life has historically had high success rates in housing those juniors and seniors who have made requests.
Sophomores and juniors who are interested in junior/senior room selection may register for housing beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1. The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.
