Roundtable discussion focusing on technology in the classroom
The Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy will explore technology’s impact on teaching and learning during a roundtable discussion scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16 in the Miley Hall executive dining room.
From the PC to the Internet to mobile devices to virtual reality goggles, the use of technology in the classroom is constantly evolving. How do these changes impact the role of the teacher? How do we prepare and support teachers in the use of technology to promote student engagement and learning? Dr. Kathleen Vespia, assistant professor in the Department of Education, will moderate this face-to-face discussion (free from the interruption of mobile devices).
Roundtable discussions are open to Salve Regina students, faculty and staff, and lunch is provided. As space is limited, those interested in attending should RSVP to pellcenter@salve.edu.
