Salve baseball team advances in College World Series with weekend win
The Seahawks posted a 2-0 win over the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Warhawks on Saturday, keeping their season alive as they play for a spot in the Division III College World Series finals on Wednesday, June 5.
All-American pitcher Sean Mulligan ’24 shut the Warhawks down, while offensively, in the second inning, Salve Regina loaded the bases on a one-out walk to Tyler Cannoe ’23, current graduate student, and consecutive singles from graduate students Hunter Yaworski and Wil McCarthy ’23. With two outs, Michael Breen, ’24, lashed an 0-1 pitch through the right side to score the game’s only runs.
