Salve Regina athletics offers ‘Train Like a Seahawk’ events for all undergraduate students
With safety at the forefront, the Salve Regina University Athletics head coaches are offering fun training activities for all students at the oceanside campus from Oct. 15 through Oct. 31.
All 20 sports are in practice-only mode with no competitions permitted during the fall semester due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Student athletes, coaches and athletics staff members are social distancing and wearing masks while maintaining clean hands with sanitizer at every practice venue.
To encourage participation from the entire student body, the coaches have developed “Train Like a Seahawk” events during the month. Each will be managed according to CDC and university guidelines.
“We are so pleased with our student athletes and coaches who have decided to share their sports and have some excitement with the Salve community,” said Jody Mooradian, director of athletics. “It will be fun to mask up and get outside to ‘Train Like a Seahawk’ with the Seahawks!”
Salve Athletics has a schedule of events and locations that is searchable and sortable by sport, date and time. This schedule will be updated as details are provided, so it is a working document. Please check back periodically to see if anything has been added.
Students can contact the head coach by email to inquire about participation in any of the events, and emails are also provided in the schedule.
