Salve Regina holding three flu clinics this fall
Although flu season peaks in winter, people are urged to have flu shots as soon as the vaccine becomes available. To that end, Health Services and the Wellness Company will sponsor three flu clinics at Salve Regina this fall.
Seasonal flu clinics will be held:
- 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3
- 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16
- 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7
All clinics will be held in the Miley Hall executive dining room. Clinics are open to the University community as well as the general public.
There is no charge for those with the following insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield (Rhode Island or federal), Medicare Part B, UnitedHealthcare, Neighborhood Health, Tufts, Carelink or Consolidated Health. For those with a difference insurance provider and the uninsured, the cost is $25.
To register for the flu clinic, visit www.thewellcomp.com. Under “Register Now,” choose “Flu – College/University” and use the login name “salve.” Individuals must be 18 or older and must bring their insurance card to the clinic.
