Salve Regina performers to hold a Christmas Virtual Chorus Concert
Editor’s Note: The Thursday performance has been moved to Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2:00 p.m.
Performers from Salve Regina’s Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will hold a Christmas Virtual Chorus Concert via Zoom on Thursday, Dec. 17 and Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7:00 p.m.
The concerts will feature composite recordings of music sung by University Chorus, Madrigals Chorus, a cappella groups, quartets and soloists. The performers have contributed to these recordings from the safety of their own personal spaces.
The theme of these two performances is simply “Hope.” During this time of Advent, Christians hope for the promises foretold by prophets of old as people look with great anticipation to the birth of the Christ child. Amidst the pandemic, everyone can look with hope to the end of the devastation that this virus has caused in families, the nation and the world.
