Salve Regina’s sports teams hosting summer clinics
Many of Salve Regina’s sports teams are hosting a variety of clinics this summer in July and August. These clinics are for high school students who are interested in pursuing college-level sports, and they will offer a great way to introduce students to the opportunities that might await them in college.
More events may be added, so please check Salve Regina’s athletics website for an up-to-date list of all clinics and camps.
Baseball Prospect Clinics
Thursday, July 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Friday, August 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Seahawk baseball is offering several prospect clinics for position players, pitchers or both on July 20 or August 11. These multi-session clinics include a pro-style workout, drills, batting practice, arm maintenance and routines for pitchers, campus tours, instruction, collegiate evaluations and more. These clinics are meant for high schoolers, and there is an option for both full-day or half-day attendance.

Men’s Basketball Prospect Clinic
Saturday, August 5, from Noon to 4 p.m.
The Men’s Basketball Prospect Clinic is to give athletes who have completed grades eight through twelfth an opportunity to learn more about Salve Regina and engage in the proper fundamentals of the game of basketball. Players will be given opportunities to improve with personal instruction from an enthusiastic college staff.

Men’s Lacrosse Clinic
Monday, August 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This four-day camp will be hosted by the Seahawk coaching staff and current student-athletes on the men’s lacrosse team. Participants will enjoy visiting Salve Regina’s oceanfront campus and playing on Gaudet Turf Field. This camp is designed for high school males who wish to compete at the next level. Campers will get a realistic experience of what it is like to compete as an intercollegiate men’s lacrosse student-athlete.

Girl’s Basketball Clinic
Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Girl’s Basketball Clinic’s objective is to allow players the opportunity to improve and grow by teaching strong fundamentals through individual skill work, team drills and game situational play. Personal instruction for each player will be provided by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaching staff. This clinic is for ages 13-18, and players will be grouped according to age, size and ability.

Women’s Soccer Clinic
Saturday, August 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The clinic offers technical and tactical instruction through small group training, small-sided games and full-field play by Salve Regina coaching staff for females in grades 9-12th. Separate goalkeeper instruction will be provided. Participants should bring all the necessary equipment to compete, including proper athletic attire, ball, cleats with no metal cleats, shin guards and water bottle.
There will be the option of taking a campus tour either before or after the clinic.
