Career Development message for end of the academic year
As the semester comes to a close, we wanted to end our weekly career development tips by saying thank you to everyone who has been reading, checking out our Instagram posts and meeting with us remotely.
We miss seeing you in the office and on campus, but we have enjoyed connecting with you virtually. We hope the information and tips we’ve shared in our newsletters over the past few weeks were useful and that you still felt connected with us from a distance.
Additionally, congratulations to everyone on making it through this unique and challenging semester! Resilience and adaptability are important skills for the workplace, and even though you didn’t choose to build these skills at this time, you all now have several shining examples of how you were able to adjust and succeed in your classes.
To all of the seniors who are about to graduate and are preparing for life after Salve Regina, we are here for you. We know this is a difficult time to be job searching or applying to graduate school, and we’re here to support you however we can. The Office of Career Development works with students and alumni in their career growth, and you can access our advisors and our resources whenever you need us.
Please know that our office is open during the summer, and all students can schedule remote appointments through Handshake to meet with a career advisor via phone, video or email. Be sure to provide us with a phone number to reach you in the appointment notes. You may also email us at career@salve.edu to work on resumes, cover letters, and other application documents via email.
In the meantime, we wish you all the best of luck with finals. We hope to connect with you again soon, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on campus this fall.
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay positive!
