Six Seahawks land on all-conference teams
The men’s ice hockey team has placed a program-best six players on the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast all-conference teams.
Marc Biggs ’16 and Lucas Sousa ’16 were named to the second team, while David Chiokadze ’16, Peter Gintoli ’16 and John Scorcia ’15 earned honorable mention honors. Jonathan Felteau ’17 was named to the all-rookie team.
Biggs ranked second on the team in scoring with 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists), including a shorthanded goal and two game-winners. He was eighth in the league in scoring and assists this season.
Chiokadze posted a 2.97 goals against average and a .904 save percentage, finishing the year with a 5-4 overall record. He has a career 3.40 GAA, the best in program history, and a .897 save percentage, also the top career mark at Salve Regina.
Gintoli led the team with 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) and was sixth in the league in scoring. Against conference teams, he was third in the league in scoring with 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists).
Felteau finished his season with 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists) and was third in the league in freshman scoring. He had 10 power play points, including five goals, which ranked him fifth in the league.
Scorcia finished the year with 18 points and a team-leading 11 goals on the season. He was fifth in the league in goal scoring this year and led both the team and the conference with two shorthanded goals.
Sousa finished the year with 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) as a defenseman. In the league, he finished eighth in defensemen scoring with six points (2 goals, 4 assists).
