Spring Week features concert with Natasha Bedingfield and Ruston Kelly, other exciting events
Get ready to kick off the warm weather as Salve Regina gears up for its annual Spring Week. Hosted by the University’s student-run Campus Activities Board (CAB), this year’s theme of “Pocket Full of Spring Week” promises to bring a week-long celebration filled with exciting events and vibrant energy. As finals season appears on the horizon, Spring Week will also provide a much-needed opportunity to unwind, connect and celebrate year-long achievements for Salve ‘s undergraduate students.
“It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. Spring Week is about bringing our community together – and I couldn’t be more proud of the CAB students for putting it all together,” said Shania Fenton, assistant director of programming in the Office of Student Engagement.
Spring Week will consist of a concert with a top-charting artist, a carnival and many other fun events. Each event prior to the concert will raffle off two free tickets to the Spring Week concert.
Grammy-nominated artist Natasha Bedingfield to headline spring concert with Ruston Kelly
This year’s spring concert on Friday, April 19, will host Natasha Bedingfield — a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter known for her infectious pop hits and empowering lyrics. Bedingfield rose to prominence in the early 2000s with her debut album “Unwritten,” which spawned the chart-topping single of the same name.
Since then, Bedingfield has released several successful albums, including “Pocketful of Sunshine” and “Strip Me,” earning acclaim for her soulful voice and uplifting melodies.
Throughout her career, Bedingfield has not only achieved commercial success, but has also remained committed to using her platform for positive change. Inspired by her own experiences and struggles, Bedingfield infuses her music with messages of empowerment, self-acceptance and resilience.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Bedingfield is also an advocate for various social causes, including mental health awareness and environmental sustainability.
Ruston Kelly is an emerging singer and songwriter. With his unique blend of Americana, folk and alternative rock influences, Kelly has garnered praise for his introspective storytelling and authentic musical style.
Fresh off his opening performance for Noah Kahan, Kelly’s captivating stage presence promises to set the tone for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration.
The opening act will begin at 8 p.m. with Rustin Kelly. Natasha Bedingfield is scheduled to perform at 9 p.m. Prior to the opening act, Newport Nightlife will be deejaying from 7 to 7:45 p.m.
Prior to the concert from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be food trucks outside Rodgers Recreation Center until the doors open at 7 p.m. Artist merchandise and Spring Week swag will be sold during this time as well.
Tickets are currently on sale, and students can find them by visiting here for the concert. Tickets are priced at $15 for students and $25 for guests.
