Stagefright presenting Neil Simon’s “Fools”
The student-run Stagefright Theatre Company will present three performances of Neil Simon’s play “Fools” this weekend.
Set in the Ukrainian town of Kulyenchikov in the late 19th century, “Fools” follows schoolteacher Leon Tolchinsky in his attempts to rid the citizens of their curse of stupidity.
The Stagefright production marks the directing debut of Jen Sartanowicz ’16 and also features the talents of Kenny Benell ’18, Lea Capanzano ’18, Alexandra D’Agostino ’17, Jake Fernandes ’17, Megan Gallo ’16, Malya Kettavong ’18, Savannah Repucci ’16, Maria Smith ’16, Dominick Torro ’16 and Collin Travassos ’18.
“Fools” will run from Feb. 27 through March 1 in the Antone Academic Center’s Megley Theatre. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 for general and $5 for students and faculty, and tickets will be available at the door.
