Strategic Compass Steering Committee invites Salve to community gathering
President Kelli J. Armstrong and the Strategic Compass Steering Committee invite staff, faculty and students to a community gathering entitled “Salve’s Strategic Compass: Designing Our Future” on Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m. in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall in O’Hare Academic Building.
The purpose of this event is to share more about the Committee’s approach, their progress and give the Salve Regina community an opportunity to participate in a crowdsourcing activity to tap into the wisdom in the room. The gathering will conclude by 3:30 p.m.
In December 2019, there was an open nomination process for Committee member selection, followed by an announcement of their appointment in early January. The Committee met for the first time on January 16-17 for a two-day working session. They worked with facilitators to design a process to hear views through interviews, focus groups and a survey for the Salve Regina community at large.
The Committee has begun the important work of listening to the many valuable perspectives everyone brings as the campus prepares for the future at Salve Regina. Interviews and focus groups are already underway. It will share more about this as well as introduce the survey during the gathering on March 6.
Armstrong and the Strategic Compass Steering Committee value each person’s voice and perspective on campus, and they encourage everyone to participate in this meaningful community gathering as we all plan for the future of Salve Regina University.
