Students encouraged to complete campus climate survey
Salve Regina is participating in a survey to understand the sexual misconduct climate on campus, and is encouraging all students to participate.
The survey was designed to capture students’ experiences and attitudes regarding aspects of sexual violence, from physical assault to harassment. The survey also collects student perceptions, assessed knowledge and use of the University’s sexual misconduct policy and resources.
All students will receive an email invitation to complete the survey from eduOutcomes. The survey will provide valuable information and help the University take steps to make campus safer and become more inclusive and reflective of the values of the Salve Regina community.
Participation is voluntary, and responses will be anonymous. A drawing for a $100 Salve Regina bookstore gift card is being offered as an incentive for those who participate. The form to enter the drawing is separate from the survey in order to preserve anonymity.
Many universities across the country have launched similar surveys as recommended by the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. The Association of American Universities also recently released aggregate results of a campus climate survey that they undertook in partnership with 27 universities.
