Tepper selected to field hockey all-region team
Abigail Tepper ’16 has been named to the first team all-region squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Tepper, who shattered her own single-season school records for goals (30) and points (68), earned a spot as forward on the Division III New England East squad.
Tepper’s 1.36 goals per game ranked fourth in the nation among Division III players. She completed her career with the Seahawks (17-5) with a second straight trip to the Eastern College Athletic Conference postseason, reaching the championship game earlier this month. Tepper was also named offensive player of the year by the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
“I’m proud that Abigail received this regional recognition,” said head coach Jennifer Foster. “She is very deserving after the senior season she had. To be recognized with the other top players in our region is a great way for her to end her Salve career.”
Tepper ends her career as Salve Regina’s all-time leading goal (69) and point (157) scorer.
