Terio, Stanton named BSN all-Americans
The postseason awards continue to come in as Phil Terio ’15 and Hayden Stanton ’16 have been named to the Beyond Sports Network (BSN) all-America teams. Terio and Stanton represent two of the four student athletes from the New England Football Conference (NEFC) to earn a selection.
Terio was named to the third team as a cornerback. He finished the season fourth on the team with 60 tackles, including 4.0 tackles for loss for nine yards. Terio intercepted two passes while finishing the season with eight pass breakups (including interceptions).
Stanton was named to the honorable mention team as a defensive tackle. The NEFC defensive player of the year, he was ranked 15th in the country for sacks, finishing the season with 11.5 for 64 yards. Stanton was fifth on the team with 57 tackles, including a league-leading 17.0 tackles for loss for 94 yards.
The pair helped the Seahawks to their fourth straight winning season and 12th in their short 21-year history. The team posted a 7-4 record this year and earned a trip to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast bowl game.
